Specialty Services

Brain & Stroke Network 

We bring together all of the specialized healthcare professionals necessary to treat stroke patients. The Network provides services at each of the five Baptist hospitals, with St. Luke's Baptist Hospital the primary location for neurosurgery needs. 

Women's Center

Having a baby at St. Luke's Baptist Hospital should be as comfortable as possible. We provide all of our patients with private labor/delivery/recovery rooms complete with relaxing surroundings and innovative environments.

The Joint Club

Healing takes time and sometimes you may need a shoulder to lean on. At St. Luke's, expect expert full orthopedic care for all your bones and joints. The Joint Club at St. Luke’s offers an intensive pre- and post-operative teaching, therapy and support group for our joint replacement patients.

Neonatal Intensive Care

New babies sometimes need specialized care in order to begin a healthy life. Our Level IIIB Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) provide highly skilled nursing staff, neonatologists and the most technologically advanced equipment to care for your newborn.

InPatient Rehab

The goal of rehab is to get you back to living a full and independent life, and that starts with learning. Baptist’s rehab specialists get to know you, and we work to understand exactly what you’re facing so we can give you exactly what you need.

Whether you’re looking for a full range of childbirth classes or want to attend a joint-replacement surgery support group, St. Luke's Baptist offers a variety of classes for new moms, rehabilitation post surgery, support groups and more.

Help preparing for your new addition

Preparing for childbirth includes learning all you can about your exciting new journey. At St. Luke's Baptist Hospital, we eagerly share this time of your life with you and offer the resources you need to feel comfortable with every aspect of childbirth.

 We offer the following classes and more:

  • Prepared Childbirth

  • Baby Care Class

  • Breastfeeding Class

  • Grandparents' Refresher Class

Our classes fill quickly and are reserved on a first come, first-served basis. We encourage you to schedule your classes early to ensure your participation; you should plan on starting your classes six to eight weeks prior to your due date.

The Wound Healing Center

We treat your wounds until they’re healed. The Wound Healing Center at St. Luke's Baptist Hospital helps heal wounds and infections caused by diabetes, vascular disease, injury and other conditions. Our state-of-the-art center features four hyperbaric chambers, which are proven to help wounds heal faster by increasing the amount of oxygen available within the body.

Conditions we treat include:

  • Pressure ulcers
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Surgical wounds
  • Wounds caused by infection
  • Traumatic wounds
  • Wounds due to circulatory problems.
