Attend a free educational event that shines a spotlight on a serious disease that leads to potentially life-threatening complications such as heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, blindness, and amputation.
Baptist Medical Center presents “Stop Diabetes” on November 18th from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the cafeteria. There will be a diabetic plate demonstration at noon, attendees can score their risk for diabetes, learn the diabetes ABC's, and receive free literature and gifts.
November is Diabetes Awareness Month. There are 24 million children and adults in the United States living with diabetes and 57 million adults are at risk for type 2 diabetes. Learn how you can help stop diabetes.
The program is provided by the Dietitians and the Diabetic Educators at Baptist Medical Center. A registered dietitian will be on hand.
