Attend the Gestational Diabetes Education Classes at North Central Baptist Hospital


The Gestational Diabetes Program is a 1 1/2 hour course designed to help you take control of your diabetes. The goal of the program is to help each individual with gestational diabetes make the lifestyle changes necessary to improve glucose control.

The classes are led by Edythe Chambers, a certified diabetes educator and registered dietician.

Educational topics include:

  • What is Gestational Diabetes?
  • Nutrition and Pregnancy
  • Exercise
  • Medications for Control
  • Blood Glucose Monitoring
  • Complications
  • Sick Day Management
  • When to Call the Doctor
