Bariatric weight loss surgery is helping people live lives they've only dreamed of. In addition to weight loss, patients find they no longer suffer from serious health issues associated with obesity. Patients who are diabetic before surgery can become insulin free after surgery. Others say they sleep better, have more energy and are much happier after bariatric surgery.
The Baptist Center for Weight Loss at Northeast Baptist Hospital has helped hundreds of patients lose the weight they've tried years to shed with failed diets and exercise programs. Many patients considering bariatric weight loss surgery can find encouragement and information in a support group that is offered as part of the bariatric program at Northeast Baptist Hospital.
The support group meets every third Thursday and offers talks by physicians and other health experts. The meetings are facilitated by Dr. Ramiro Cavazos, Bariatric Surgeon and Medical Director of the Northeast Bariatric Program.
