Dicky Huey, M.D. Dicky Huey, M.D.
Medical Director, Brain & Stroke Network at Baptist Health System

Dicky Huey, M.D., served as a Major in the U.S. Army. He has been in private practice as a neurologist in San Antonio for many years and will serve as Medical Director for the Brain & Stroke Network at Baptist Health System. Dr. Huey was Chief of Neurology Service in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, and after joining the Baptist Health System medical staff in the 1970s, held a number of leadership positions there including Chief of Staff at Baptist Medical Center 1985 - 1986. Dr. Huey’s commitment to neurological health has extended beyond patient care to also include research, teaching and professional development. He has been principal investigator in a number of research studies, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Texas Health Science Center, and holds memberships in a number of medical and specialty organizations.

Dr. Huey has been honored as a leading physician by Texas Monthly Magazine and in ‘The Top Doctors in the Country’ listing in six out of the past nine years. He has been active in the Stroke Council of the American Heart Association. He earned his medical degree from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, did his internship at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, and his residency in neurology at UTMB-Galveston.

Vice President of Neurosciences at Baptist Health System

Suzanne DelBoccio, RN, MS, FACHE, has been recruited to lead The Brain and Stroke Network at Baptist Health System. As Vice President of Neurosciences at Baptist Health System, DelBoccio fills a new role created specifically to head the newly created, and first of its kind in San Antonio stroke network.

DelBoccio will work with Dicky Huey, M.D., medical director of The Brain and Stroke Network, other neurologists, neurosurgeons, emergency physicians, hospital nursing and rehabilitation staff members to further develop The Brain and Stroke Network into a comprehensive, certified stroke program. DelBoccio has significant experience in leading neuroscience departments and has held teaching positions and staff nurse positions in the greater Chicago area. She received her diploma in nursing from Evangelical School of Nursing in Oak Lawn, Illinois, earned a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Illinois in Chicago and a Master of Science degree from Northwestern University.
