Jorge Trevino , RN, M.SC.

CEO, Baptist Medical Center

Jorge Trevino is the CEO for Baptist Medical Center, where he is responsible for the hospital’s day-to-day operations. He leads a team with a deep strategic focus on our hospital’s quality, operations and growth. 

Jorge is a seasoned health care executive with more than 25 years of experience in hospital leadership, operations and patient care. He joins Baptist Medical Center from City Hospital at White Rock in Dallas, where he was the CEO.  He previously served as the interim CEO and chief operating officer for Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – White Rock in Dallas, and as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Operational Improvements at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. 

Throughout Jorge’s career, he has also served as Administrative Director of Critical Care and Emergency Services and Director of Emergency Services at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. Prior to his role at Northeast Baptist, Jorge was Assistant Director of Clinical Operations and a Flight Nurse for San Antonio AirLIFE. Other roles have included Director of the Children’s Emergency Department, Trauma Care Coordinator, and as an RN in the ED and PICU at Christus Santa Rosa in San Antonio.

Jorge earned his M.SC. in Nursing Administration and B.SC. in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. He is Lean Six Sigma certified. Jorge’s passion is team development and creating an environment of transparency and collective focus.
