A fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society, Dr. Stephen May is board certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He previously served as chief internal medicine resident at Emory University and chief cardiology fellow and chief electrophysiology fellow at the Texas Heart Institute and currently serves as Medical Director and Chief of Cardiac Electrophysiology for Baptist Health System. Dr. May is also professionally affiliated with the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS Advisory Panel), the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the American Medical Association and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Front desk representative was very nice and helpful. Waited around 2-3 minutes before getting called to get vitals. Medical assistant was amazing, soft spoken and kind with my 82 year old mother. The nurse who came to take my mom's Pacemaker readings was also very nice and detailed when explaining her care. I wish I would have remembered their names but they all deserve recognition for their amazing interactions with patients!

Everyone seemed to work as a team! MyWeight blood pressure was taken. An EKG was performed in n a respectful manner & it was explained it was a for comparison with hospital record. The office had obtained the hospital records. The device tech came to download pertinent information. Dr. May listened to my account & concerns. He Explained everything! He took a great deal of time and o make sure I was confident in my medications and how to proceed. He even adjusted the amount when we discussed my low tolerance to medication. Dr. Stephen May recommended that I remain on Metoprolol and to take it twice a day, and whenever I have an episode. He also suggested I buy a Smart Watch which will record my heart activity throughout each day so that he can view on my next visit. I've since bought one and it already recorded a rapid heart rate. I'm happy he suggested I get one!

Receptionist very cordial friendly and caring. She answered a question regarding the difference between A fib and Aflutter by offering a booklet I could have. She did not act rushed at all. The nurse taking vitals was all of that as well. even the man checking my pacemaker was friendly and informative. he answered my questions clearly

Again, I felt confident of excellent care and assured about my future health as far as he could contribute. I have read and reread the booklet he wrote and have shared it with a friend as well. I put my return address on it and she promised to. return it. It cleared up a lot of questions. He went over most of what was init but I value being able to review and reinforce the information at home.
