As a board-certified vascular surgeon, Dr. Grady Alsabrook is highly specialized in treating vascular conditions, including leg circulation problems, carotid artery disease, aneurysms and dialysis access. He is expertly trained to perform all available treatment options for vascular disease including preventative medicine, endovascular procedures, open surgery and hybrid procedures. He has a specific clinical interest in hybrid procedures that combine conventional surgery and endovascular techniques. Dr. Alsabrook is one of the few vascular surgeons in San Antonio offering the innovative TransCarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) procedure to treat carotid artery stenosis. Dr. Alsabrook attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and he completed his vascular fellowship at Wake Forest University. He has proudly served the needs of our South Texas community since 2007. Previously, Dr. Alsabrook served as Chief of Staff at Northeast Baptist Hospital, and he was the Section Chief of cardiothoracic, cardiology and vascular services for all Baptist Health System hospitals from 2016-2022. He is a proud father of four, as well as an avid hiker. His goal is to climb all 57 of the 14,000 ft. peaks in Colorado.

This doctor was awesome. He explained everything from my test and he was very kind and took his time with you not acting like he was in a hurry! And a nice thing to happen was my appointment was at 11 for the test and then I was supposed to come back at 1:15 to see the doctor while he decided He had enough time to fit me in right after my test so I didn't have to leave and come back, which was great!

Just recently, I was at my yearly appointment with Dr. Alsabrook when he was very concerned about why blood pressure dropped to 63/45. He didn't take any chances with my health and had me taken to the ER. This bad experience turned out to be a good experience because of the autoimmune diseases I have, he saved my life for the second time. I would recommend Dr. Alsabrook.

Dr Alsebrook has excellent "bedside" manner; he is sensitive to his patients' needs, takes his time with medical explanations, and takes a common sense approach in presenting all medical explanations.
