Salvador Sordo, MD

Salvador Sordo, MD, is a general surgeon with additional advanced training in clinical investigation. A native of Mexico City, after graduation from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, he earned his medical degree from the University of Guadalajara School of Medicine.Post graduate training brought Dr. Sordo back to San Antonio, where he gained an internship and residency in General Surgery. During his training, he also pursued a master’s degree in Science and Clinical Investigation. Dr Sordo has been recognized with multiple civic and community honors and awards. He has served on peer-appointed councils and has published in multiple medical journals. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Southeastern Surgical Congress. Dr. Sordo served as an attending trauma and emergency surgeon at Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico for several years before relocating to his hometown of San Antonio. A native Spanish speaker, in his free time Dr. Sordo enjoys jogging, sailing, radio control airplanes, travel and cooking.
