We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. Baptist PHO

About Our Organization

The Baptist Health System Physician Hospital Organization (BHSPHO) maintains 24 Preferred Provider health care contracts. The contracts can either be of a “single signature” (commit both BHS and physicians) nature or in some instances have separate hospital and physician contracts.

The BHSPHO credentials each physician and all contracted plans have accepted our credentialing policies and procedures and delegates credentialing to the BHSPHO.

The BHSPHO is a messenger model PHO. The BHSPHO messengers each contract to the network physicians, and they can opt-in or opt-out of any BHSPHO contract.

The Baptist Health System Physician Hospital Organization exists to provide the highest quality in health care delivery, education and community service through a dedicated team of health care professions working together in a compassionate Christian environment.

Benefits

As a Class A Member (Physicians), you have access to over 500,000 lives through our contracts, delegated credentialing for all contracts, payment verification - assist with rate disputes and claims research, and access to communication from the Board of Trustees actions and other information.
