NICU Reunion Celebrates 10 Years of Miracle Babies and Their Caregivers

Babies born prematurely or sick spend their first hours and days in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) where they receive round-the-clock care from highly skilled doctors and nurses. A special bond forms between families and NICU caregivers that is celebrated each year when they are reunited with one another at a joyful event recognizing how these tiny babies are growing and thriving.

The Fiesta of Miracles 10th Annual NICU Reunion was held Saturday, May 5th in the Atrium at North Central Baptist Hospital. Doctors and nurses got to see how over the years their former patients are now living normal, happy lives. Parents love sharing stories of all they have overcome and reuniting with the caregivers they spent so many anxious hours with in the NICU.

There were lots of fun activities for attendees including: face painting, cookie decorating, arts and crafts, games, photo booth, bean planting, sensory tables, NICU grads handprints, safety & educational presentations, Folklorico dancers, Fiesta Futbol and more.
