J. Phillip Young Named CEO of Northeast Baptist Hospital

San Antonio, TX. (February 9, 2018) - J. Phillip Young, FACHE has been named CEO of Northeast Baptist Hospital. Young has a wide range of experience and successes leading hospitals across the country, most recently at The Hospitals of Providence, East Campus in El Paso, Texas.

“We are very fortunate to have found such a strong leader to add to the excellent team already in place at Northeast Baptist Hospital,” said Matt Stone, Baptist Health System CEO. “Phil is an experienced healthcare executive, and will be instrumental in continuing to develop the high-performing programs Northeast Baptist currently delivers to patients and families.”

Under Young’s leadership, East Campus hospital achieved numerous quality objectives, patient safety rankings, accreditations and certifications. Young led the growth of numerous hospital services of benefit to the community including, outpatient physical and occupational therapy, wound care, infusion services and maternal/fetal medicine.

Prior to his role at The Hospitals of Providence, Phillip served in several leadership positions at LifePoint Hospitals, Inc. in Tennessee; as CEO of MedCath, Inc.’s Heart Hospital of Lafayette in Louisiana; as Regional CEO of Woodland Park & Eastmoreland Hospitals in Portland, Oregon; as CEO of Crawford Memorial Hospital in Van Buren, Arkansas and as CEO of Columbia Medical Center in Pampa, Texas.

Young will be on board at Northeast Baptist Hospital on March 5, 2018.
