Education We Provide
For more than a century, our schooling has been an integral part of our mission to further formal clinical education in the San Antonio area. What started as a single School of Nursing soon evolved into a cohesive collection of schools ranging from specialties in surgical technology to health information and management. Today, the School of Health Professions is a degree granting institution, offering:
- Diploma programs for licensed vocational nurse and magnetic resonance imaging
- Certificate programs for vascular sonography and computed tomography
- Bachelor of Science degrees in nursing and health care management
- Associate of Applied Science degrees in diagnostic medical sonography, health information technology, nursing, radiologic technology and surgical technology
The School of Health Professions offers a wide variety of programs and coursework that prepares graduates for entry-level positions and lays a foundation for continued professional growth. Dedicated faculty members enrich the learning experience with theoretical and clinical expertise.
“Baptist Health System School of Health Professions is a place for excellent beginnings — the fundamental steps to get you started on a rewarding career,” says Marion Jewell, Ed.D, president of Baptist Health System’s School of Health Professions.
