My name is Una Russell and I have been a volunteer at BMC in the SICU for 46 years. I believe that being of service to others is a privilege and an honor and I will continue to serve as long as I feel my efforts are accomplishing something and that I make a difference. Volunteering is not a one-way flow of assistance but mutual activities where you also learn from those you are trying to help.

My volunteer activities in SICU have provided me a wonderful opportunity for personal development and self-fulfillment, and when you like the people you work with, it is so much more rewarding.
