Marlen Montes, FNP-C, is an advanced practice registered nurse with a post-graduate certificate as a family nurse practitioner. She has over 17 years of health care experience. NP Montes began her career in the emergency department, where she gained experience making critical decisions and empathetically guiding patients through the treatment process. Following her time in the emergency department, NP Montes further educated herself in vascular medicine, exploring diagnostic, medical, surgical and cosmetic procedures. During the past seven years, she has gained experience in peripheral vascular care in San Antonio’s Medical Center, Stone Oak, Hondo and Uvalde. In addition to her vast knowledge of acute and chronic vascular conditions, NP Montes is a self-proficient problem-solver. She is a proud first-gen college graduate, an appreciative mother, a grateful daughter, a loving wife and a dedicated colleague.

Only good on the last question because I seldom, if ever, offer recommendations for care providers to anyone unless they specifically ask for such recommendations. If anyone were to ask me if Ms. Montes is a good care provider I would endorse her.

Once one gets through the automated phone system and reaches a person, the Interaction is usually great. The staff at the clinic is very helpful.I am not a fan of patient portals, and try to avoid them whenever possible.

After the MLK Jr holiday, I couldn't reach anyone by phone to make an appointment for an existing patient and ask about new insurance. I realized the practice was undergoing changes in their business, so gave up trying to phone and drove the 15 miles to their office to speak to a receptionist who, thankfully, was very helpful.
