Dr. Donald Dilworth, a board-certified general surgeon and fellow of the American College of Surgeons, is highly experienced in both complex and straightforward surgical cases, as well as burn care. Dr. Dilworth is the Medical Director of the Center of Excellence in Hernia Surgery at Northeast Baptist Hospital. He is an accomplished researcher and has been published in several journals. Dr. Dilworth has also been a presenter at international conferences. Margie was especially helpful. She kept calling back and answering when I would call, and we had to scramble at the last minute to get the cardiac releases and she was super helpful in making all of that happen. She could have just said "No releases, we're rescheduling you." but she did not. She kept working with me right up until 5 PM when I got the clearances and emailed them to her. I had rearranged my vacation and everything else to do the surgery on the day it was scheduled, so I was VERY appreciative that she stuck with me to make that happen.

Dr. Dilworth took his time when explaining procedures, etc. Was a bit confused as to why he wanted to wait an additional 4 weeks from my first visit to this last visit but he explained that he didn't want me to experience any complications after the hernia repair and I was very "touched" by his concern. He never referred to my age and has been very respectful. He waited until Dr. Colligan had completed his exam and gave his "all clear" to both Dr. Dilworth and Dr. Gonzales, my PCP.
