Having the forms available to complete electronically is extremely helpful and so appreciated. Having a special needs child and trying to complete paperwork is extremely challenging so thank you for having registration available electronically. I was very impressed with the individual that came out to the lobby to get us to take us to a room because she recognized that my husband was pushing out son around in his wheelchair in the hallway and she stated that she would come and get us when it was time for us to be seen by the doctor. She stated that there were two patients ahead of us and she didn't want to have us waiting in a small exam room. I was so impressed with the accommodation and the understanding of our son's needs.

As stated in the last comment, the nurse/assistant was accommodating and understanding of our son's needs. She even took the time to come to the waiting area to gather needed information on our son before taking us back to the exam room. Allowing us to stay in the waiting area and allowing my husband to continue to push our son around in this wheelchair in the hallway eliminated so much anxiety for not only our son but for us, his parents.

I have an extremely rare progressive condition (orthostatic tremor) for which there is no specific treatment, and Dr. Millar was the first to make this diagnosis. Only one other physician (also a neurologist) I have seen over a number of years has even heard of OT. Dr. Millar is a wonderful person and a great doctor. Even though I'm there for 31 injections in my head and neck, I still really look forward to seeing Dr. Millar every three months. He makes sure I am wanting to continue this treatment and asks how my migraines have been since the last appointment. He never fails (I've been getting these injections from him for years) to be very gentle with the injections and the lovely, funny conversations we have (often about dogs and movies) always make a rather painful treatment surprisingly enjoyable. That's a rare and wonderful thing!

I believe in all of my 79 years of life have I ever felt so comfortable with a Dr!. Dr Millar was able to look through several reports and lab results that I brought with me and explain in detail, with knowledge that I understood, what I needed to know. He gave me physical strength testing, and cognition exercises during that exam. Was able to give me a Rx that would help my cognition and explained side effects and the possible side effects. The assistant was fabulous also. After 2 brain surgeries I suffered with extreme head aches on a daily basis. Dr Millar started me on a medication that helped but wore off after 3 months. When I explained this the assistant upped my dose and 3 months later Dr Millar upped it and now for the first time in 12 years, I am headache free !!

I always love to these appointments at Dr Millar and his PA They are patient and listen to all your concerns. I had many seizures and hospital stays because of the seizures for 7 months. He actually listened to my problem rather than trying to put me on a million drugs to make me a zombie. No he wants me to go back to civilization. He was so thorough with simple words that felt like paragraphs it was wild, gave me a plan to follow , never seen that before with a doctor like you dont know, he blew my mind with how much he cares for his patients. I love Dr. Millar and PA Doyle they are wonderful at listening and making me feel part of my treatment plan for my seizures. I have been going to them for over 6 years. I like that they alternate, it ensures that they both keep up to date on what's going on with me. It makes me feel that I'm not pushed off to the side. They both show an immense amount of compassion, kindness, and empathy. They worked with me until we found a combination of medications that minimizes the number of seizures I get. They helped me with some paperwork I needed for the government. They explained to me why I always get a lot of seizures after surgery. I would recommend them to anyone that needs a neurologist.

I have an unusual autoimmune neurological complication. Dr. Millar is great. He took the time to explain to me and my wife the pain issues that I have been experiencing and explains his thoughts as to the reasons why. He was also great in explaining the options for treatment and had taken my input as to what I felt was the best course of action. Generally other doctors will just give you their recommendations and that will be it, but by Dr. Millar working with the patient, it shows that he really cares. Dr. Millar was very cordial. He took time to listen to my concerns. He did a thorough history and then a physical exam to come to a conclusion about my concerns. He suggested some alternatives, but said that what I had did not need any immediate follow-up, but I could schedule an earlier appointment whenever I felt I needed one. He explained why he made the diagnosis, any why my symptoms were not indicative of something more serious. Dr. Millar only mentioned that my mother, Carmen Bachmann was on the best medicine and when I prompted him to discuss next step in diagnosing stage of my mother's condition he waved it off until next visit. I would like to know if there are in-depth studies that can be reviewed at UT Health Science SA or in Houston, TX. As this was the FIRST visit with Dr. Millar, understandably he was only getting to know my mother but she too felt his service was 'FAIR'. My mother says she felt 'her condition is not critical' and that Dr. Millar was 'doing just what was necessary' to follow through with his responsibilities. On two other occasions we were seen by Heather Doyle. Only during our last visit last November did we come to understand that Ms. Doyle was the nurse's assistant, with our questions she deemed it imperative that we see Dr. Millar during this June visit which unfortunately, due to the spread of COVID -19, turned into a virtual meet and greet.

This was my first visit with Dr. Millar. I explained my symptoms and after he examined me he made a probable diagnosis of my condition, explaining it very well so that I could understand it. Dr. Millar prescribed medication with instructions to contact him with any concerns. I have a follow up visit scheduled.

I have never had a bad experience. I look forward to seeing Dr. Milar. His staff is very friendly. Dr. Milar has an ease about him that makes it very easy and comfortable to talk to him. Also, he's very funny and makes me laugh which makes discussing medical issues with him comfortable. No one likes going to the doctor but when you are treated with genuine courtesy, care, respect and compassion, it's like medicine for the soul.

This doctor was the first doctor in a long time who was genuinely interested in my health history and wanted to make sure an episode I had several years ago didn't cause any damage. I was beyond pleased. Most doctors rush through my history and just check boxes and send me on my way.

Dr. Millar explained my condition in terms that I could easily understand, and went through every option of treatment possible and why he wanted to choose the plan he felt best suited for my situation. He didn't rush me out of his office or talk down to me, and he answered every question that not only I had but my sister had as well and he did so patiently. He was thorough in asking questions about my symptoms, and I didn't feel like he was overlooking anything or just trying to pick something and run with it. I felt he really cared about fixing my problem. He is by far the best provider I have ever come in to contact with and I would definitely recommend him to others needing to see a neurologist.
