Emily Scherrer is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in treating children from birth through young adulthood. She has pursued this specialized focus since the beginning of her career 13 years ago, advancing her education in the field by earning a master’s degree in pediatric nursing in 2021. During Nurse Practitioner Scherrer’s 13 years of pediatric nursing experience, she has worked in hospital and clinic settings, in government and private sectors. In addition to general pediatric nursing, she has experience in the sub-specialties of pediatric endocrinology and pediatric infectious disease. Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Scherrer’s philosophy of care is based on the premises that children should be empowered to become their own best health advocate, and that treating children involves the entire family. NP Emily Scherrer was by far the BEST health care professional we have ever seen. She was kind, thorough, took sufficient time with us to review all our previous test results and explain some things, asked relevant questions, and even related a personal experience to help my daughter feel at ease. Emily obviously cares about her patients and has ordered the necessary tests to help us figure out how to help my child. She also explained what would happen when we get the results back. Emily is a real gem and I'm so thankful we found her!
