About Dana Hernandez-Villareal

Dana Hernandez, AuD completed her internship and residency at Ear Medical Group in San Antonio, Texas and has worked in various medical settings as well as contracted with school districts and the Veteran’s Administration. She is proficient in comprehensive hearing assessments for pediatrics and adults, electrophysiology, hearing aids, supervision, leadership and management. As a provider, Dr. Hernandez prioritizes strong patient-provider relationships accompanied with patient-parent education and empowerment. She loves personal interactions with her patients and most importantly, improving their lives through better hearing. Dr. Hernandez also loves working with special needs patients and giving back to her community. She currently serves as the Clinical Director for Special Olympics Healthy Hearing Program and provides community education and services at various health screening events. Dr. Hernandez and her husband Scott have a beautiful daughter, Triniti. They are very involved in her school activities including serving on the school board, Parent Teacher Committee and assisting with the school’s golf program. In addition, she is active in her church parish as a Eucharistic Minister, leads the Children’s Liturgy of the Word and the Love Strong Marriage Ministry Steering Committee, and serves as the Hospitality Director for Walking with Purpose Women’s Bible Study. She is a life member of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and served as a mentor for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She enjoys physical fitness, trying new restaurants, traveling with her family and spending time with friends and their two dogs.
