Brendalyn Tavel, FNP-C

Brendalyn Tavel, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a focus on comprehensive cardiovascular care. Her clinical interests include advanced heart failure management, hypertension, coronary artery disease, and preventive cardiology. She is passionate about optimizing guideline-directed medical therapy and supporting patients in managing complex chronic conditions through education and shared decision-making. Brendalyn’s philosophy of care centers on respect, empathy, and collaboration. She believes in treating each patient as a unique individual, taking time to understand their goals and values while delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. She works closely with multidisciplinary cardiology teams to promote seamless care transitions, reduce hospital readmissions, and improve long-term outcomes. Approachable and compassionate, Brendalyn values teamwork and lifelong learning. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and being with her family. She also serves as a reservist in the Army Nurse Corps and is a proud member of the American College of Nurse Practitioners.
