Melissa L. Is the most efficient and caring Nurse I have EVER had in my adult life and I'm 76. She responds immediately to my messages in the portal and follows up with phone calls to me. She really listens to me, and has provided me with empathy, hope and shared so many suggestions to help my need for care. She never leaves me wondering what I should do and when. She is very thorough, and kept me informed of what my exam would entail.

The intake nurse is very professional and sets me up to be seen by the PA. She takes my blood pressure, weighs me and takes my O2 reading. She then takes me to the exam room and takes my blood for my A1C test. This speeds up my waiting time to see the PA. The nurse Is very good.

I My symptoms were moderate, but I was very worried about the extreme coughing and congestion. P.A. Barrientos suggestedZithromax and a prescription cough medication. I agreed to that course of action. Ms Barrientos allayed my fears and told me to contact MedFirst if the symptoms became worse or if the medication seemed ineffective. P.A. This was my first visit with Ms. Barrientos and she was wonderful! She listened to my concerns, she explained possible health conditions and treatment. She has empathy with her patients. Many providers lose that with time and seemed to genuinely care about my pain. She made a plan for care continuity and I am hopeful we can find root cause of my pain. I've been in pain for almost two years seeing different providers and haven't doing yet the cause. Ms. Barrientos was a great listener, explained possible issues and gave me hope. My appointment was at 10:30 The called me back at 11:15. I don't complain because I know PA will not rush me. My husband died recently and she spent time listening to me and helping me. With guidance and a plan to help through my loss. I have some health issues she is addressing. So I needed blood drawn . I had to wait for her to return from lunch. He is who I would always prefer, but in this circumstance I was unable to get an appointment with him for this Pre-Op visit. PA Barrientos was excellent, just prefer my PCP.
