Aaron King, MD is a board-certified family practice physician with a special commitment to diabetes care in teen and adult patients and at all levels of complexity. He is experienced in treating Type I and Type II diabetes, insulin pump care, continuous glucose monitoring and providing care in advanced lipid management, as well as assessing and reducing cardiovascular risk. Dr. King consults with multiple diabetes education companies nationally. He also is a highly regarded educator in diabetes care for primary care physicians.Earning his higher education in Texas, including a medical degree from Texas A&M Medical School, Dr. King pursued advanced medical training in family practice while serving in the US Navy domestically and abroad.Married to an obstetrician/gynecologist and the father of four children who swim competitively, Dr. King is also athletic, engaging in weight training, Peloton, tennis and golf. The staff overall is excellent. We like Dr. King as our GP and value his medical knowledge and guidance . However, we have had problems with a delay in processing our lab codes with Medicare for 10 months. When we brought this to Dr. King attention, he was extremely professional and assured us that he would address this ASAP! The problem was resolved. I voiced to Dr. King that I had been dealing with some upper respiratory issues that I believed to be nothing but allergies and he suggested to cover all basis let's treat as an infection just in case which couldn't have been a better choice because shortly after our visit I got worse. The medications he sent in to the pharmacy helped tremendously and I'm already to the road of recovery.

My blood pressure is more under control on a televisit than fighting traffic and coming into the office. The nurse always calls ahead of time before the doctor calls. Of course I would come into the office if the doctor needs to physically see me.

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. King for years and have recommended him to all of our friends. One thing that is not accounted for in any of these questions is that Dr. King is always "present" in every one of our interactions with him. Waited 45 after appt time. Doctor did apologize for the wait. Total time spent with me was 5-7 minutes. During that time he clarified something from my previous doctors chart, listened to my heart, had me breath with stethoscope on my back then chest, and lastly checked my neck for swollen glands. Asked the nurse to take my blood for tests. That was the entirety of my "annual exam."

Nursing assistant, Maria, does not seem to follow through well. I asked her to check to see if a med had been renewed and she did not get back to me. The next day, I addressed some issues on the portal, and they were only partially followed through on. Required several messages.

Although my visit was routine - I did feel I might be getting a UTI - I informed the nurse and by the time I finished my appointment, she had everything ready to collect a sample - tested it right then and there and Dr King called in for some meds immediately - now THAT is service! :)

I can't say enough good words about Dr. King - he knows me and knows my routine - ie: exercise, eating habits, etc - he even helped me through a hip replacement surgery by referring me to an allergy specialist - he just goes above and beyond what other doctors would do - I consider my health to be very good and I credit Dr. King with that - he even helped me with my weight lifting routine!! Recommended a book for me to read and it was WONDERFUL!!! It's just those little "extra's" that he does for myself and my husband that makes him an extraordinary doctor!!! We wouldn't go anywhere else!!!

I have been with Dr. King since this clinic opened..he is absolutely the best dr I have ever had! He is truly cares about his patients and their health concerns! Yes, I have recommended others to him in which they were very pleased! And I will continue to do so even though he is leaving the clinic! My heart is breaking over this, because where he is going does not carrymy insurance, but when it does....,He is absolutely the best provider I have ever had! When he received word that I had called him, immediately he would return the call...that's a caring doctor!!!

Dr. King takes all the time necessary to discuss all medical issues regarding my health, and they are many! I am very grateful for a primary care provider who works as the center cog of the wheel, connecting the care of numerous specialists, along with the results of all lab tests, radiology and/or procedures, making sure everything flows together well and makes sense to me. He always helps me feel more settled and secure about the condition of my health and thus the outlook of my life at a time when so many things seem to be going wrong. I am especially grateful and impressed at how quickly he replies to any communications and questions I send him through the patient portal. He has improved the quality of my and my husband's life significantly!
