This was my mom's first visit with Dr Kahlenberg. We are very impressed with him. He gave us a clear explanation of her diagnosis/condition, options, and best path forward. Dr. K is the poster adult for what American health care should be but so often is not. I would not hesitate to go under his scalpel again (although I will be fine without having to, thank you very much). I had heard only good things about him from the PA at my primary physician's office and from the Breast Cancer Navigator who called me the day before the visit. You don't find the combination of medical expertise and personal warmth and concern Dr. K exhibits as much these days. Maybe the good old days weren't as good as memory serves, but it's not an exaggeration to say he exhibits what we always considered the top flight old school approach, and does it while making 2024 technology and practice understandable. I called the practice with a question and spoke with *Dr. Kahlenberg's PA. She was very kind, very thorough, and very willing to help. In my experience, *Dr. Kahlenberg and his staff consider it a privilege to provide care. I never once felt like I was a bother when I had a question or concern but rather was treated with kindness, compassion, and a desire to treat the patient well.
