Pura Labis, FNP-BC has a special interest in geriatrics, having spent much of their career caring for the aging population as a primary care provider. Pura is fluent in both English and Filipino, allowing them to connect with a diverse group of patients and families. With a background in emergency medicine and leadership experience as a house supervisor, Pura brings a strong foundation in teamwork, timely decision-making, and clinical awareness to their practice. She is committed to ensuring that every patient is treated with dignity, respect, and empathy, regardless of race or background. Pura believes that high-quality care depends not only on medical knowledge and skill, but also on safe practices, effective resource management, and ongoing education. Her philosophy centers on delivering timely, compassionate care in a safe and equitable environment. Outside of medicine, Pura enjoys reading, cross-stitching, and giving back to the community through volunteer work at the San Antonio Food Bank.
