Carolina Carmichael is a physician assistant, certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). During her advanced education to become a PA, she was inducted into Pi Alpha National Honor Society. PA Carmichael has more than a decade of experience providing primary care to individuals age five and older. She treats a broad range of medical conditions, with a special interest in diabetes management and women’s health. PA Carmichael is committed to treating the whole person, going beyond just the diagnosis, to implement an individualized treatment plan. She works to develop a trusting relationship with each patient, and a collaborative team approach with her medical colleagues. PA Carmichael lives in Schertz with her husband and two children. Ms Carmichael is so easy to talk to and she understands my concerns and if she doesn't she asks to help her understand. Some appointments I have had have been very hard for because of my fibro. She takes her times and lets me gather myself and asks how she can help me. She helps me to settle down and has great suggestions that might help my situation. Please don't ever loose Ms Carmichael! She's a gem!!!

For the first time in a long time I felt very cared for by my health care provider I cried in my car after the appointment because I actually got help and support I needed it was so refreshing! I told my provider I wanna cry because you are so amazing she sat down and didn't rush me or rush out to see her other patients in a hurry and listening to what I've been dealing with and she understood and was very compassionate and told me it's going to be alright we are going to start a plan and explained everything how I might feel some side effects to watch out for and everything I talk about my provider with everyone and about the place she works because she awesome and I hope she can be my doctor forever !!

PA Carmichael was fantastic, I really felt like she took my concerns seriously and provided me with more care than many other medical professionals I've gone to from other facilities in the past. She really takes initiative to make sure that everything in a patient's history is considered and takes the steps to get lab results and recommend other timely medical checkups to make sure everything is okay for the patient, which I really appreciated. She's a great listener, communicator, and I never felt like she didn't care about my concerns nor rushed me. I'd absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a medical professional - she's fantastic.
