Dr Nikam's main office is off 410 at Heart & Vascular of Texas . He opened an office at 3009 & 35 on northeast side of San Antonio which really helps me a lot . Traffic really is intense going to the main office , sure saves on my blood pressure .

Having observed Dr. Nickam interaction and dedicated concern with an elder lady I help and take to appointments it was obvious his outstanding care is matched by none in today's standard Dr visits. My cardiologist retired in July 2025 so I wanted to be referred to Dr. Nickam. This physician is the epitome of one who firmly believes the pledge of the Hippocratic oath and studied medicine to truly help a patient heal. He is thorough, listens intently and is NOT just clicking away on a laptop INSTEAD of looking at you and having knowledge of your chart history. This Dr will be recommended to all who need a cardiologist.

Good experience-Once Dr. Nikam recommended a heart echo; he immediately did it in the office. Dr. Nikam realizes I am still employed with a strict work schedule that does not permit time off. Dr. Nikan was concerned about my problem and scheduled some tests to find the answers. He did not rush through the appointment, went over my history, and answered all my questions in terms I could understand. My daughter, a registered nurse, came with me because she had some concerns. After the preliminary actions (weight, blood pressure and EKG) were collected, Dr. Nikam saw me. He explained the importance of keeping my loop pressure under control. Since the rise in m BP was caused by a medication prescribed by my urologist, Dr. Nikam decided to raise the dosage of Coreg and I'm to monitor my blood pressure at home. I am to contact him as needed until my next appointment.

Dr. Nikam has always been excellent in all aspects of his care of both my parents and communicating with those in the family my parents gave permission to be included in the discussion. We would have been lost without his guidance in my father's final days (90 years old) to help us through the process of deciding on proper comfort care. Besides great communication skills, he gave practical guidance, and showed compassion and empathy.
