About Nivia Palomo
Nivia Palomo joins Acacia OB/GYN as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), after earning her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing. Prior to pursuing this advanced degree, Nivia worked for a decade as a Labor and Delivery nurse and supervisor within the Baptist Health System. Her bachelor’s degree in nursing is from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Certified Nurse Midwife Palomo is passionate about providing individualized medical care to women of all ages and stages of life. Whether a woman is having her first gynecological exam, her first pregnancy, or entering menopause – Nivia provides education and encourages the active participation of each patient in her own care. In her free time, Nivia focuses on her own family and loved ones. She is fluent in Spanish.

Ms. Palomo is one of the nicest care providers I have ever met. She is always super friendly. I've had bad experiences in the past with other care providers from different hospitals. When I first came here I was very anxious. Now coming in, I am no longer nervous for an annual. Dr. PALOMO has been a wonderful Doctor from the first visit to my postpartum needs, she has listened and responded with kindness and understanding to my needs, preferences, and concerns about pregnancy and also about my medical history with other physicians and reassured me that she and the staff at Acacia were patient oriented and the care for the patient was optimal and she trusted everyone of the doctors at Acacia to deliver my baby well if she wasn't able to be there at time of birth. Very nice ladies!!!! I am aware that you have 10-15 min grace period after your scheduled appointment, after that it will be cancelled However, I was late for my last ultrasound due to traffic & parking; anyways, the ultrasound technician still took me into her office and I got to see my babygirl one last time! I was really happy and anxious (: The staff wants to make sure the patient is satisfied with their visits especially when you're going to be a first time mama to a little girl!!!

I believe they had to cancel 2 of my appointments and they called me asap to notify me that I needed to reschedule and took care of the problem right away! Especially in the beginning when my Medicaid hadn't activated yet, they made sure my appointment was scheduled a week after it started so I wouldn't have to pay for my visits.

Great customer service by all front staff, PA, or NP. They all make you feel so welcomed and very caring people! I really liked how Dr. Palomo asked me if I was okay with her taking over as my OB, since Dr. Green left and I was definitely okay!
