Dr. Izfar is board certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery and General Surgery. She specializes in minimally invasive surgery such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery and TAMIS (transanal minimally invasive surgery), and performs the majority of her surgeries in this manner. Dr. Izfar has a special interest in treatment of colorectal cancers, inflammatory bowel disease, and pelvic floor disorders, such as fecal incontinence and rectal prolapse. The receptionist at the office is the most amazing person. She is kind, quick, will do special things like run a file of papers around to the person so that they don't have to get up for it. She is especially patient and understanding with the frustration of waiting and will always listen to a story of someone's day, either celebrating with them or making them feel seen. I love washing her interact with the clients. It is clear that she does her job functions so well as part of it too.

My experience has been nothing but stellar. I had a cancerous polyp removed during my first ever colonoscopy. Dr. Izfar was not the surgeon I was referred to but was the Dr. I found during my own research. A big THANK YOU to Shannon, Dr. Izfar's nurse for getting me in with Dr. Izfar so quickly despite her full calendar. And where to begin in regards to Dr. Izfar. I know I was sent to her by God. Dr. Izfar had a plan for me since before she entered the room. She was sure about what needed to be done and communicated that to me without overloading me with useless information. Besides her exceptional skills, her kindness and empathy stood out. She took all my fears and I knew I was in the best hands possible. No treatment was provided via the Virtual Visit as I had 3 large cysts larger than my fist which needed to be lanced but couldn't be lanced due to the inaccurate temperature reading from the front desk nurse so after the virtual reading another Doctors appointment was made the following week however the cysts drained on their own which was painful and had me out for a week of work due to the pain, by the time I had my next appointment the cysts were not as large.
