Group Chief Financial Officer

Charles Handley is Group Chief Financial Officer for Baptist Health System in San Antonio as well as our sister hospitals in Nacogdoches and the Rio Grande Valley. Before coming to Baptist, Charles was Group Chief Financial Officer for The Hospitals of Providence where he was instrumental in shaping the finance department and growth strategies for the El Paso market.

Charles has been recognized multiple times by Becker’s Healthcare as a “Top CFO to Know” for his commitment to strategically lead finance operations and continue to build a strong financial infrastructure. He has helped shape and build future financial leaders as a sponsor and mentor in the Financial Leadership Academy and has been recognized as a Circle of Excellence Outstanding Chief Financial Officer three times during his career which started in 1993 with Tenet Healthcare, Baptist's parent company.
