Volunteer Requirements
At Baptist Health System, your contribution is vital to fulfilling our mission of extending the healing ministry of faith. Volunteers serve primarily in non-clinical departments of the hospital.
To become a volunteer at the hospital of your choice, you will be asked to:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Participate in an interview.
- Complete the medical requirements: tuberculosis screening, controlled substance screening, flu shot (seasonal), and immunization records reviewed by the Employee Health Nurse. TB screening and flu shots will be provided at no charge to you.
- Complete a background check through our Human Resources Department.
- Attend an orientation.
- Wear a volunteer uniform.
- Commit to 2-3 hours per week. We offer Monday-Friday shift opportunities as well as weekend opportunities.
- A 100-hour commitment must be met annually.
