Accessibility Statement

We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. To do so, we are actively working with consultants to update the website by increasing its accessibility and usability by persons who use assistive technologies such as automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and screen readers.

We are working to have the website conform to the relevant standards of the Section 508 Web Accessibility Standards developed by the United States Access Board, as well as the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. These standards and guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. We believe that conformance with these standards and guidelines will help make the website more user friendly for all people.

Our efforts are ongoing. While we strive to have the website adhere to these guidelines and standards, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. If, at any time, you have specific questions or concerns about the accessibility of any particular webpage, please contact WebsiteAccess@tenethealth.com so that we may be of assistance.

Thank you. We hope you enjoy using our website.

Hospital Pricing FAQ

How can I tell which DRG applies to me?

The best way to find out which DRGs apply to you is to let your doctor know you’re trying to estimate pricing. Ask him or her for your exact treatment plan, including the DRG codes associated with it.

How will the hospital chargemaster rates differ from my actual costs?

The chargemaster rates in our spreadsheets only include hospital-related charges. You may also receive charges from the physicians providing you services related to your hospital visit. These may include:
  • Specialists
  • Anesthesiologists
  • Pathologists
  • Radiologists
You may also receive a separate bill from independent laboratory and radiology services. These services include having specialists read and interpret EKG's, X-rays, EEG's and lab work.

How does insurance coverage affect the chargemaster rates?

When reviewing charges, it is also important to note that actual payment rates for hospital care provided to insured patients are:
  • negotiated with health plans,
  • set by the federal government for Medicare, or
  • set by state governments for Medicaid
If you have insurance or governmental plan coverage, please visit our Hospital Pricing Information page to learn how to get a personalized estimate from one of our financial counselors.

How will the financial counselor’s hospital cost estimates differ from my actual costs?

Our financial counselor’s estimates include only hospital-related charges.
In addition, these independent providers may not be participants in your health plan, which may increase your overall cost.

What if I have questions about my bill or can’t afford it?

If you have a question or concern about a bill we have sent to you, please visit our Billing Questions page to submit a question or call our customer service team. We are here to help you.

If you have a question about a bill that is related to your hospital stay, but came from another provider (such as the ones listed above), please call the customer service number located on the bill you received.
