Healthlink Orthopedic Residency Program

The program is a 13-month Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program which begins each September and concludes the following October.

Our program is designed to advance clinical knowledge and enhance patient outcomes in the outpatient orthopedic setting, while supporting residents in preparation for board certification as Orthopedic Clinical Specialists. Residents gain comprehensive learning experiences across multiple environments, including structured didactic education, hands-on mentorship with fellowship-trained physical therapists and board-certified orthopedic specialists, surgical observations, and shadowing patient care alongside other healthcare professionals.

Mission

Baptist Healthlink’s Orthopedic Residency Program seeks to create leaders in our field by providing physical therapy residents with a multifaceted education in the advanced practice of orthopedic physical therapy through the use of didactic instruction, practical experience, direct mentoring and unique shadowing opportunities. The program will provide specialized clinical training to develop confidence and expertise of evaluation and treatment across all domains of orthopedic physical therapy practice. Residents will be able to provide compassionate care and quality outcomes for our patients through research and mentorship throughout the program.
